Imagine the power a ballerina feels when they put on their point shoes. Experience the emotions of a Broadway actor putting on their stage makeup. Evoke the chaos of a runway model is dressed before a show. Each wears a costume which empowers them and allows them to emmulate the character or identity they need to be.
With the Milan-based label Arthur Arbesser, the same type of confidence is instilled. The only difference is this costume allows you to become not a different identity, but fully embody your own. Warning: When wearing Arthur Arbesser, you are likely to feel an overwhelming sense of joy and selfconfidence.
Graphic Impact
Their collections are inspired by graphical elements, and therefore are colourful, bold and thoughtful. Colour is used as a tool for expression, and bright contrasts make the wearer feel as if they are wearing a piece of art rather than an item of clothing.
Knowing the fact that you are a literal masterpiec is bound to put a spring in your step.
The focus here is on the wonderful collage of graphic design elements, figurative prints, and funky motifs.
The play of colour is intense and ever-present, making each garment fun and unique.
With clothes made to empower the wearer, designs are loud, but at the same not loud enough to drown out your personal style.
The balance here is between the boldness of the print and the simple, minimalistic style and material. The end result is a look that is not overdone, it is chaos presented in a neat little package. It is creativity refined.
Arthur Arbesser: The Vision
Arthur Arbesser’s experiences and creative development have translated directly into his collections. Born and raised in Vienna, he went on to graduate from London’s Central Saint Martin’s College. His designs merged the culture and identity of the two cities, which led to him launching the Arthur Arbesser brand in 2013.
The designer continues to be inspired by theatre and opera shows, incorporating the elements of performance and costume into his collections. He has even started costume designing for ballet and opera spheres.
Now that you know the backstage story, we are certain that wearing Arthur Arbesser, you will be confident enough to take the stage, front and centre.
