When we think of Amsterdam, we think of canal rides, tulip fields, and innovative design. As we know, Europe is a hub of creativity when it comes to fashion, and the Netherlands are no exception. We have AiSPi-ed three female Dutch designers that are enforcing positive change within the fashion industry through sheer dedication to their craft. With their expertise and vibrant style, they are changing the face of European fashion.
Daphne Gerritse, Rain Couture

Rain Couture’s story begins with something we can all relate to–the often cumbersome work commute. Daphne Gerritse ambitiously made it her mission to develop a fashion solution that tackles the challenges of everyday life as a working mother.
After five years of trial and error, she has sourced waterproof farbics that combine fashion and functionality to use throughout her collections.
“I could totally imagine it; one jacket that would bring everything together and is wearable in all weather types, and all seasons.”
– Daphne Gerritse

Adaptable and timeless, the Rain Couture coats are transitional from season to season. From detachable hoods to interchangeable linings, they can be adjusted come rain or shine!
As slow fashion is at the forefront of positive climate change, this brand is ahead of the game with its versatile and seasonless design.
Ulrika Lundgren, Rika Studios

Having explored the globe alongside Vogue and Elle, founder Ulrika Lundgren of Rika Studios shares her expert knowledge through both her collections and publication. She is a truly influential woman–and one that AiSPi can’t get enough of.
Her garments are designed to age beautifully alongside you, allowing for a carefully curated wardrobe that remains relevant through evolving trends and seasons.

“I like to speak of wardrobe, not necessarily fashion.”
– Ulrika Lundgren
“I’m very much inspired by the women I have around me; I’m always thinking of their character and style and how they would wear these clothes.”
– Ulrika Lundgren

Ulrika’s muse is the notion of womanhood, and her androgynous designs are tailored to fit the creative women she surrounds herself with .
Taking pride in their craftsmanship, all garments are handmade in Italy by family-run ateliers. To ensure each piece remains a wardrobe staple, only the most luxurious fabrics and yarns are utilised during production.
Since launching her brand in 2005, Ulrika has encouraged women to embrace the concept of a capsule wardrobe built on slow fashion and careful construction.
Fabienne Chapot
Looking to brighten up your style? Fabienne Chapot brings you some vibrancy through her quirky in-house prints, promoting the inclusion of sophisticated yet bold colour within a minimalist’s wardrobe.
Creativity flows throughout this brand’s DNA, with their body of designers developing in-house prints by hand. Taking the “old-fashioned” approach, each pattern begins with a paint brush rather than a computer.

Built by a woman for women, their tailoring is feminine and inflicts confidence from the inside out. Drawing inspiration from the past, each collection celebrates iconic women throughout history.
“We believe in inspiring all women to feel their best. Best about themselves and the way they look so they can be who they want to be and perform best in life.”
– Fabienne Chapot

Craftsmanship and the celebration of femininity are truly at the heart of Fabienne Chapot.
