Refreshing & Sustainable Collections
Essentiel Antwerp has taken an invigorating approach to sustainability throughout their twenty years of production. They are dedicated to continuously lowering their environmental footprint and striving for positive change within a wasteful industry.
Although colour remains at the heart of their collections, they are dedicated to becoming greener. Not only do they work with sustainable fabrics, they also donate excess fabrics to upcycle-focused organisations, run a rental service for occasion wear and use recycled plastic for their packaging.
Working ambitiously with their suppliers, they search for processes and materials that will reduce their environmental impact. Thirty percent of their garments are produced using “monomaterials”, meaning they are easier to recycle.

The Essentiel Antwerp Story
Their story begins in Belgium when founders Esfan Eghtessadi and Inge Onsea took a plunge into the fashion industry with their first collection of t-shirts. With a combined family history in textiles and modelling, they were equipped with ample inspiration.
Their goal was to inject more colour into a monochromatic world, which expanded from t-shirts to knitwear, jackets, and more!
In the year 2000, only one year prior to their introductory collection, their first store opened its doors in Antwerp. Today, they are a globally esteemed brand recognised for their message of love and laughter.
