Sabyasachi Mukherjee for the Sabyasachi X Starbucks

Sabyasachi X Starbucks

So what’s brewing between Tata Starbucks and Sabyasachi? The coffeehouse chain has joined forces with iconic designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who is no stranger to cool collaborations with international brands, on a limited edition collection of merch that will support Educate Girls, an NGO working towards empowering girls in rural India.  “We are delighted to partner with an archetypal Indian brand like Sabyasachi. As part of Tata Starbucks’ commitment to empowering girls and young women, we have a rich relationship with Educate Girls and I am thrilled our work has resonated with Sabyasachi. This collaboration will give customers a chance to experience two of their beloved brands coming together to make a difference and actively support education for girls,” said Sushant Dash, CEO, Tata Starbucks Private Limited. “I am honoured to collaborate with an iconic global brand like Starbucks to help amplify a cause so dear to my heart,” said the couturier. “I hope this collaboration sparks hope, creates change and helps give back to a most worthy cause. Not enough can be said about the transformative power of education, it is the ultimate catalyst of change, development and progress—and our fundamental right. Educating girls, all girls, remains the need of the hour in India, for a better and brighter future where all women are educated, empowered and free to live a life of their own making.”

Saaksha & Kinni menswear

Shahid Kapoor for Saaksha & Kinni menswear

The Mumbai-based designer duo are best known for their statement prints and relaxed fits that are a go-to for the celebrity style set — think everyone from Sharon Stone and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja to Alia Bhatt and Mira Rajput Kapoor. They are now extending their signature aesthetic to menswear, launched with their Resort Wear '22 collection, ‘Quad’. Expect shirts, trousers and jackets in playful drapes, acid-washed denim fabrics and psychedelic-like geometric prints. The idea was strip back the sternness often associated with menswear to lend it ease, much like their hero pattern for the season — the rhombus, that is all about breaking away from right angle rules. Did we mention Shahid Kapoor is already a fan?
