A fantastical ecosystem of golden shelled beetles and pink sapphire lotuses, each Begüm Khan piece reflects the Ottoman Empire and mysteries of the Far East. Fashioning each jewel with rare gems, she carries the same mindset of the girl who once went digging for treasures in the streets that paved her childhood.
From the humble cufflink to breathtaking body adornments, Khan has built her own golden empire of statement jewels for both men and women. Her gold-plated bronze creations appear rich with history, yet contemporary with an element of modern-day influence. Staying true to her cultural inspiration, Turkish artisans handcraft every design to bring character and soul.
Open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Address: Harbiye, Mim Kemal Öke Cd. 14/3, 34367 Şişli
Taking you on a journey of cultural exploration, Tohum’s collections are reminiscent of faraway lands and designer Verda Alaton’s lifelong passion for travel.
Every creation is an expression of discovery, with inspiration drawn from tribal artifacts and ethnic artforms.
Tohum stands for “to be human”, finding beauty in human nature and history. Throughout her travels, Alaton has searched for our uniting values as a species. This inspired the use of the Talisman symbol throughout her works, which acts as a visualisation of the growing human soul.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted in Tohum’s Istanbul atelier.
A brand built on sisterhood and shared passion; Aphorm Design allows the Çiçekçiler’s collaborative creativity to run wild. As a collective, they bring an array of design skills and practises to the atelier to create experimental jewellery.
Their creations are for those seeking wearable art, taking inspiration from nature and humanity, while occasionally working with organic materials.
They demonstrate the beauty of simplicity through their recent collection “Dot”, which is symbolic of moments frozen in time.
Creating tiny spherical forms, they cluster together like atoms to create dainty rings, fluid earrings, and sculptural neckpieces.
Aphorm is a concept store based Beyoğlu, acting as an exhibition of both their own creations and a host of many other international designers.
Address: Şahkulu, Serdar-ı Ekrem Cd., 34421 Beyoğlu/İstanbul, Turkey
With a focus on timeless design, Urart’s artisanal jewellery pieces are sophisticatedly simple.
Creating modernised interpretations of Eastern artefacts, each piece appears as though it once belonged to ancient royalty. At Urart, they believe that jewellery design can be used as a creative research tool than merely to produce something visually pleasing.
Their promise is to elevate the wearer’s feminine power through their transformational pieces, bringing lasting memories with positive change.
Open Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 6:00 pm
Address: Harbiye, 34367 Şişli
