Fur, Fur, Fur
After seeing hundreds of different looks and styles from different brands, one element was strong: faux fur. Brands incorporated fur in different creative ways and we’re not mad. At Dior Maria Chiuri’s collection was giving edgy elegance as they paired up fur jackets with long leather boots and leather gloves.
Meanwhile Miu Miu kept it cute and dainty with ribbons and kitten heels paired up with long romantic knee-high socks. Some brands didn’t just use fur details but rather splurged in it. Take Fendi and Alexander McQueen for example, their collection included extravagant faux fur coats that were giving chic and expensive.
But the most iconic moments from this season could just be Dsquared2 and their show kicking off with the current it-girl Doechii. Their collection was filled with big and extravagant fur hats that we’ll be sure to see next winter. Iconic.

Romantic and Dainty Lace

This season lace was also filling the runways. Some brands just tipped their toes whereas others dived with their headfirst. Brands like louis Vuitton had lace details on the hems of dresses keeping it cute and sweet. Meanwhile Alexander McQueen boldly connected lace and sheer revealing a lot of skin. Saint Laurent however had more modest touch to it with pencil skirts and blazers covered in multicolour lace. Nex to that, we saw lace tights used through multiple shows paired up with dresses, shorts and skirts creating sexy and intimate ensembles.

See-Through Sheer
Sheer has been a big thing the past seasons and it looks like it’s here to stay! Chanel known for their iconic tweed suits, opened their show with a classic suit with a sheer hem scraping the ground. This was followed by a layered combo of a sheer skirt and a sheer blouse. And it didn’t stop there. Sheer continued strong in other shows as well. Over at Vivienne Westwood, sheer took form in various forms from glittery capris to extravagant gowns. Givenchy then included daring full sheer bodysuits as well as dresses with sheer fabric, leaving not much to the imagination.

Looks Like Tartan Is Making a Comeback
Well, some might argue it never went out of style in the first place. During London fashion week designer went mad for plaid. It comes as no surprise that at Vivienne Westwood we saw amazing yellow blazers and skirts in tartan print that were giving punk royalty – once again. Perhaps it’s the rebellion and edginess connected with the tartan that we are seeing back on the runways! Next to that, Louis Vuitton also jumped to the trend with some tartan dresses and scarves. I think next fall and winter we’ll be seeing more of that. At the end of the day, it is a classic print.
