Copenhagen Fashion Week took place in the first week of February, 2022. Every year, the Copenhagen Fashion Week gives the world a glimpse into the very progressive, Scandinavian fashion scene. For a city that is known for it's gentle cozy style, the fashion trends break that mould entirely. There are plenty of knits, but that's about as hygge as it gets. The major takeaways? Here's everything we witnessed.

Modern tailoring was a big trend that we spotted. There were plenty of suits, including those with pinstripes and big shoulders (1980s big!).

As a carryon from the pandemic, dressing for the apocalypse or the great outdoors is also a big trend. Fluffy, over-the-top layers and utility dressing took centre stage.

Sleek, body highlighting bodycon designs played a major role at Copenhagen. Sometimes layered under multiple fabric and at times, standing tall. Snakeskin and bodycon sleek looks with a motorcycle helmet all emanate Y2K special agent character, like Trinity of the 1999 Matrix movie.
Boot leggers, a fashion only reserved for ski slopes, hit fashion week in a major way.
Malene Birger is a fashion and interior designer. She approaches her work from a design lens: creating eclectic, futuristic, and modern art inspired, jewellery as the result. Her work has a signature Danish touch, making us fall in love with her designs all the more.
Mads Nørgaard firmly believes that fashion should not compromise your values, it should support you in your ways and beliefs. She supports slow fashion, and thus creates timeless pieces that you can wear again and again every season.
Baum und Pferdgarten is one of the leading Danish fashion houses, established in 1999. “We want to create designs for women who want to have fun with their personal expression. Our collections can be worn in many different ways by many different women. We create clothes that help women tell their own story,” say Creative Directors, Helle Hestehave and Rikke Baumgarten.
