Progressive Approach to Luxury

As a brand already known for its sustainability initiatives, Sonia Carrasco stays a cut above the rest by using progressive materials such as recycled fibers, organic and vegan material. Constantly looking out for manufacturers who have the same principles as the brand is a major priority. All the leftover material are recycled and are incorporated in the most creative way in their new collections. With an all-female design team, the brand collaborates with FUNDACIÓ ARED, which provides support and opportunities for women of domestic violence. The brand is not afraid to take progressive to the next level.

Sonia Carrasco truly believes that a collection is born out of a stimulation of a memory, reflection of ones thought process. The brand experiments and deconstructs a form first, before coming out with yet another bedazzling collection.  The brand takes us on a journey of discovery, a multi-sensory experience with all the empty and contrasting areas, textures and overlapping layers. All so different yet they seem to work together so effortlessly.

Sonia takes a page out of her own diary and translates her emotions into her collections. Her collections talk about her complex emotions, sometimes even her feeling of balance. Her brand uses denim, cotton, and even wool blends all in one collection, one outfit. The collections as a whole are easy, chic, and complimentary. With Sonia’s ambition and creativity she prefers to gamble with textiles and volumen.

Fashion of the Future

Sonia Carrasco believed that it didn’t make sense to create a brand without sustainability at its heart. As a person who strived to reduce her impact on the planet, she is in the process of creating a platform called “Fashion for the Future” through which her brand would share sustainable practices and promote social and environmental values. Sonia Carrasco portrays with such radical transparency that fashion can co-exist and thrive without polluting the environment. Without placing the brand in a ‘Box’ called sustainable fashion brand, Sonia Carrasco believes that the materials they use are simply luxurious and we couldn’t agree more.

Sonia Carrasco: The beginnings​

“Buying a Sonia Carrasco piece is not just buying a garment but buying knowledge with it. " says the brands CEO who the lable is named after. Sonia Carrasco initially was a business graduate who then decided to pursue fashion designing. She had an amazing start to her career with gaining tailoring experience and craftsmanship knowledge from both Alexander McQueen and Celine.

In 2019 she began her own brand. Her multiple accolades even before establishing herself is a testament to her talent. Based in Barcelona the brand takes their radical transparency as seriously as their designs. With heavy emphasis on sustainability and progressive thinking Sonia Carrasco is truly a force to look out for.
