Teatum Jones: Brand That Seeks Humanity in Humans

Based in London, Teatum Jones is a socially involved brand. It touches themes such as gender equality, love, self-love, state of mind. Called “method designers”, they  investigate Uk`s museum archives.

Also, they often interview people. They constantly seek humanity in humans through fashion.

Stories in collections

Each collection drowns us in different moodboards. Various sources of inspirations and concepts follow us...For instance, watercolor paintings, architecture, visual geometry, horses, intense emotions, patchworks, prints, color contrasts...

Moreover, you can choose between eggplant, monarch orange, peach, cinnamon, sea green, red, burgundy, crisp cornflour blue, midnight navy, royal blue, ivory, cream… amoung others.

Sensitive to sustainability, they use recycled and deadstock materials. Some of them-organza, satin, embroideries, sequins, jacquard, velvet, yarn, organic fibres. Besides that, craftspeople and artesans also intervene.

The real storytellers of the brand are the human creatures. This is what Teatum Jones always stands for. Fashion is for everybody. So, it includes models of many ethnicities, with disabilities and plus sized. However, this contributes to its versatile, vibrant and modern style.

In addition, the designers make 4 collections across 2 seasons. Also, they develop them as Part One and Part Two of one annual story. Basically, they promote slow fashion.

The history of Teatum Jones

Catherine Teatum and Jones are a label since 2010. The designers are two Londoners with British as well as Irish heritage. Home of the collections is their studio in London.

Consequently, they are reffered as “textile pioneers” and “innovators”. Additionally, in 2016 won the international Woolmark Prize for Womenswear.
