AISPI X João Luís Ribeiro

My first contact with the reality that involves filmmaking happened during my time as a high school student, where I brought out my first film project ever. I became interested in cinematography during my second year of BA Course. Such realization was due to my growing interest in photography and since then I had the chance to work mostly in short films and music videos and I aspire to continue to do so and enroll in the Film Production business after I complete my studies.
AISPI gave me a great opportunity to explore my skills around my beloved hometown in such unique experience, allowing me to be creative and developing my style not only in photography and videography but also in editing. Apart from that, I had the pleasure to meet and cooperate with incredible and professional people, for whom I’m thankful for trusting me for this job.

Joao’s work is absolutely incredible! While he says his style is under development, we feel that it is extremely profound and inspiring. He has a great eye for detail and also a very good ear for matching sound with imagery – giving his work a professional and creative uplift. Joao is also a bit shy, once he opens up the ideas come pouring out!
