Kolovrat: Deconstructive Tribal Expressionist Fashion

Based in Lisboa, Kolovrat is a contemporary fashion brand that designs a “travel to your yourself” collections through deconstructive aesthetics. Inspired by spirituality, nihilism, social environment, different cultures, they create kind of a tribal expressionism. Conceptual and reflective, their approach reminds us that there is more than meets the eye.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina-born designer Lidija Kolovrat studied cinema and fashion at Design and Technology College in Zagreb, Croatia. Combining the best of the two worlds, she is also dedicated to video art and installations in galleries and museums. Furthermore, she designs for theater, opera, contemporary dance and cinema. In 1990, Lidija moved to Portugal and this experience is emphasized in her works.

The History Of Kolovrat

Launched up in 1990, the label combines fashion with arts and craft, which is transformed into deep self-expression. Lidija Kolovrat is recognized as a prominent artist in Portugal with her signature deconstructive urban style, presented in Lisbon fashion weeks. Moreover, previously she has also teached master degrees and made workshops.
