Born in Zurich and crafted solely in Europe, Inuikii is a shoe brand with an unshakable European identity. The name Inuikii has been inspired by a child witnessing winter in Greenland. It comes from the words ”inu” and ”ikii” combined creating a meaning of ”attractive cold”.
The family-owned brand targets the modern individual: women, men, and kids. The label caters the need for comfort as well as style statement shoes. Covering all seasons as well as cozy, home-wear pieces Inuikii bets on chunky platforms and a wide colour palette with an inclination towards muter tones.
Sustainable Outlook
Inuikii realises the importance of adapting to environmental needs and employing sustainable practices and this is evident in their shoes production. The brand is on a continual search for new, environmentally-friendly materials and is one of the first shoe makers to have embraced the use of bananatex, a ground-breaking biodegradable fabric made entirely from banana plants with no need for chemical supplements.
Inuikii takes comfort seriously regardless of season. Without forgetting the style aspect that goes into the making of a good footwear! Being proponent of big soles, the brand ensures anyone wearing the shoes can take on their day by storm whether it is a hike-loving man, a busy lady or an active child.
They offer a wide variety of shoes, each fit for a different occasion. We especially love their rain-proof sneakers and have our hearts set on their sandals that can be worn all-day during the summer months.
Perhaps a special soft spot is held for the slippers, keeping the feet warm, cosy and chic.
About Inuikii
Inuikii is a family-led independent footwear brand from Switzerland. Cinzia Maag along with her two sons, Danilo and Alessio conceptualised and brought the brand to life in 2013. Shortly after the establishment of the brand, entrepreneurial lady Nicole Nordin joined forces with the Maags and became a core member of the team running Inuikii.
