A master of installations, moving image, performance and text, the multi-disciplinary artist uses visual impact to bring balance and harmony to his womenswear range. With an architectural and methodical approach to fashion, the brand’s ready-to-wear collections are daring, bold, and most importantly, a conversation starter. Much like AiSPi!
Freedom Of Expression
Merging many Asian and European cultural influences into single collections, the designs capture a range of royal rich colours such as orange, fuchsia, gold and blue to more subdued black and white. Ensuring that no matter your preference, there is always an option for extravagance.
With a focus on sustainability, the Spring ready-to-wear 2022 collection “What Happened to Last Season’s Collection?” features fifteen looks made from ethically sourced wood pulp fabric and deadstock silk. With lavishness added in the form of ostrich feathers, ruffles, sequins and balloon sleeves, garments are made for you to stand out and express your individuality.
From flamboyant white ruffles to more sophisticated black sleek silhouettes, Osman caters for all types of women. With a focus on precise tailoring, each fit accentuates and elevates the female figure. Patchwork, gold-threaded embroidery and detailed mirror work make the designs dramatic; declaring “I have arrived!”
The Journey Of Osman
After graduating in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins in London, Osman went on to pursue his fashion career. He curated his first womenswear designer label in 2008. Drawing on issues close to his heart and his migrant family’s struggles, Osman brings light to socio-political issues through his work.
Osman Yousefzada has taken on the role of an advocate for those marginalised in society along with the fashion industry. He designs collections with the intention of inciting positive change and inclusivity. The message conveyed is one of equality, diversity, heritage and culture.
The Osman collection is a fashion-forward statement, but what we love most is the message it carries. One that you just can’t help but listen to.
