Savour: Where To Eat
Güzelburç Antakya
In 1995, Nuri Şabanoğlu opened a little butcher shop with his son Ümit Şabanoğlu. Now, 28 years later, Güzelburç is one of the best places for traditional Turkish cuisine, where you can delight your senses with appetisers such as squeezed cheese, hummus and kebabs. “You’ll find delicious traditional Turkish cuisine here,” says Beyza. Don’t forget to try their world-famous Hatay kebab tray.

MSA`s Restaurant
Extraordinary and unusual, MSA is much more than a restaurant. It is a one-of-a-kind academy of Culinary Arts, where students complete their internships, applying all they have learned along with the best chefs. From street Turkish food to experimental international plates, there are delicatesses for almost every taste. Beyza declares: “This is my favourite breakfast place.” The restaurant offers a spectacular view of Bosphorus that you can enjoy during your meal, making you feel like you’re dining on the edge of heaven.

Soho House Istanbul
Nestled in the 19th Century Palazzo Corpi, Soho House Istanbul offers a fun experience for those visiting the city. It has everything you need, from luxurious bedrooms to relaxing spas to a collection featuring over 350 pieces of art to wild parties. “This is the place to have drinks, dinner, and party while you enjoy their rooftop views,” she says. With utmost attention to every single detail, they reinvent Turkish dishes with contemporary touch.
As a bonus, try out the menu with a Mexican twist which highlights Black Risotto and Lemongrass Creme Brûlée.

Cuma
This cosy establishment features a beautiful terrace at the front where you can enjoy either a traditional Turkish breakfast or Mediterranean-inspired lunch or dinner. The restaurant is owned and operated by Banu Tiryakioğullari who is a graduate of the Culinary Arts Academy. She sources local ingredients to create her masterful dishes. “After a quick stop for food here, walk along the lane and discover vintage stores, Galata Tower, and Golden Horn.”

Wu Bomonti
Elegant and colourful, their sushi cuisine offers mouth-watering flavours that seem to recreate the sea on your plate. “It’s my favourite party place during winter,” says Beyza. “The sushi and cocktails are to-die-for!” They host a number of popular DJs all year around, making it a must-visit location when in town–not more than just sushi and cocktails.

Suna'nin Yeri
Cuddled in the heart of Bosphorous, Suna’nin Yeri is a place with mind-blowing views. Melt in the beautiful sunset, while filling up on the freshest seafood and raki which is a typical Turkish fish sandwich. This seafood restaurant has been providing unforgettable dining experiences for over 35 years. They source the finest seafood daily and transform them into dishes that delight your taste buds.

Grand Bazaar (European Side)
“While the Grand Bazaar is a popular discovery point, there are master craft workshops, antique stores, and handicraft boutiques just waiting to be discovered,” says Beyza. It’s one of the latest and oldest covered markets in the world with 61 streets and over 4000 shops. Don’t miss out on discovering one of the world’s most famous shopping destinations!
Cihangir & Çukurcuma
Since the 1970s, Cihangir has been a hub for artists, creatives, writers, and thought-leaders. This neighbourhood in Beyoğlu is often compared to districts such as Le Marais in Paris. The beautiful architecture of the area is just one of the reasons to stop by this place.
Çukurcuma is Istanbul’s main antiques district. “You can discover hidden vintage stores, antique shops, and more here,” says Beyza.
Princes’ Island
Located in the Marmara Sea off the Asian coast of Istanbul, Princes’ Islands are made up of 9 isles. They are known for their horse-drawn carriages, panoramic views, and fabulous dining and shopping experiences. “Take a break from the chaos of the city with a trip to Princes’ Islands,” she advises. “I heartily recommend it for those who want to experience both a sea voyage and a trip to an island.”
Istanbul Modern Art (European Side)
Much like the city itself, the Istanbul Modern museum is full of contradictions. It offers stunning views of the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque across the waters on the European side while on the Asian side you can see a stack of waterfront containers that are the complete opposite. The museum specialises in modern and contemporary art.

Traditional Turkish Hammam
Enter into the spirit of the traditions and culture with A Turkish Hammam, also known as a Turkish steam bath, for public bathing. It was inspired by the culture of the Ottoman Empire. . Spoil yourself a bit, enter an atmosphere of luxury and relaxation, while indulging in a whole new experience.
Basilica Cistern
Byzantine Emperor Justinian I built the Basilica Cistern in the 6th Century where it served as a water reservoir for the Great Palace. Located near Hagia Sophia, you can find Istanbul’s most popular museum and attractions here. Inverted to avoid its gaze, the two columns in the corner represent the face of Medusa. These enchanting mythological touches create an out of the world atmosphere, transforming this place into a famous hub for parties and events. “Famous DJs host parties in this place which are unbelievable.”

Begüm Khan Niştantaşı Store
There’s a lot that can be admired about the gem-encrusted and gold-plated bronze encased creations of Begüm Khan. This Istanbul-based jewellery brand evokes a glitzy bygone era that’s royal-led with a modern twist. Each of the jewels capture the spirit of the place where they are imagined and made while still seeming ageless–making them true modern heirlooms. The line began with ornate cufflinks and has now expanded to include jewellery and other accessories for both sexes.
