Tomme specialises in handcrafted, made-to-order basketball bags that blur the lines of gender. Despite basketball being a popular sport universally affiliated with males, Tomme (pronounced Tom) proposes designs that are founded upon the shape of the basketball and enriched with colour and design in a unisex manner.
Brand Collaborations
Tomme has collaborated with major brands such as Prada and Louis Vuitton to design some truly unique bags. The identity of the bag remains the same but is mixed with each designer’s unique approach to style, such as LV logomania or Prada’s bold use of colour.
In continuation of the idea of combining a male dominated sport with a female affiliated accessory, Tomme ventured onto American football as well, launching a small collection of bags in the shape of the ball used in the sport.
Regardless of the design, minimal, eccentric or funky, what is not compromised upon is the quality. All items are produced with the use of premium leather and the linings are the finest satin made.
The Idea Behind Tomme
Tomme, this bold expression of a blurred line between femininity and masculinity through made to order pieces that come close to art started in 2014 with a T-shirt and created the first 3.0 basketball bag in 2016.
The name of the brand encompasses ”tomboy x femme x homme = Tomme” to manifest this celebration of unisex confidence that came to life through the love for basketball and translated into an indispensable item, the bag being enriched and rethought.
