It’s a new week and despite a global pandemic, team AiSPi is confident that we will sail through it together. To help you get through this tough time, we dug deep through our archives to bring to you a curated list of boutiques from the lovely city of Vienna! Concept stores high on avant garde fashion interspersed with local designer names, Vienna has it all and will leave you feeling spoilt for choice with it’s fantastic designer edit that is rich in local European culture and brimming with fashion.
Nachbarin
A tiny boutique just off of Gumpendorferstrasse, Nachbarin is the place to discover some of the hottest new names in Europe. The store is known for its womenswear and remains true to its name, roughly translates to feminine in German. It carries everything from dresses to jumpsuits from designers like Chalayan, Swash and Preen (plus SO many more!) to cater to the style savvy globetrotter. We especially love the structural dresses by Antwerp based designer Tim Van Steenbergen and easy separates from Véronique Leroy.

Art Point
A far cry from the legions of stores retailing mass produced pieces, Art Point stands out with it’s womenswear edit. The designer is Lena Kvadrat. She started the brand in Russia in the late ‘90s before moving to the city of Vienna. Art Point’s runway shows are akin to a theatrical performance and her collection of separates and accessories. They are targeted towards the modern woman with a particular affinity towards avant garde. They are presented twice a year and available to shop at the Art Point boutique in Vienna.

Park
In the mood for luxe? Look no further than Park – a high end boutique serving the best of international avant garde fashion and fragrances. Launched by Markus Strasser and Helmut Ruthner in 2004 to share with the world their love for fashion, the store quickly gained recognition as the first to retail out-of-the-box international designer wear in Vienna. We love discovering new names at Park. The founder’s passion for fashion is clearly seen the moment you step into the store.

Unikatessen
Another one of our favourites, Unikatessen is the best place to discover young designer names in Vienna. With it’s raw aesthetic and rough-cut appeal, the store serves as the perfect canvas for upcoming designers. #AISPIloves the well-curated mix of designer pieces from both small and big brands, as well as the concept store vibe of the store, evident in it cutting edge interiors and unique decor.

Song
A stone’s throw from the Sofitel in Vienna, Song earned its cred as a space for immersive art experiences as well as a concept store that stretched well beyond fashion. The store is the brainchild of South Korean native Myung il Song, a purveyor of art and fashion herself, and is a testament to Myung’s passion for the creative arts. Song is popular for it’s avante garde designer edit which is personally handpicked by Myung. The collection is showcase in an art gallery style rather than a fashion boutique.
