Many renowned designers have based their brands in the English capital making it a grand place to be in the fashion world. Olivia Rubin is a creative with a fun imagination who brings her colourful take on life alive through her designs.
A Dreamy Palette
Olivia Rubin focuses on creating comfortable, fashionable designs for women. The first phrase that pops into one’s head to describing her collections is ‘play on romance’. She displays an inclination towards a dreamy palette that features lilac, mint green and lemon yellow. Darker tones and black are rarely to be found and if so, they are complemented with accessories and additions such as floral buttons, studs and cute knitted patterns.
This preference for femininity and romance makes Rubin’s take on bridal wear unsurprising playful. With a fairytale-inspired approach to designs, the designer takes the all-time classic white and adds in candy-coloured splashes of life.
The latest project initiative was Rubin’s debut in designing a homeware collection. Again, her love for colour, vividness and prints was the trademark of all the pieces including cushions, sofa throws and tableware. Representative of Olivia Rubin’s approach to designing both clothing, accessories and interiors, the collection invites eclectic, playful tastes into modern spaces.
About Olivia Rubin
So, who is behind this colour-filled approach to enriching life? Olivia Rubin herself! She discovered her creative passion early on in her life and went on to study at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College in London. Here she started bringing to life her initial collections.
She established her eponymous brand in 2018. Before that, Rubin had worked for major fashion names such as the late Londoner Alexander McQueen and John Galliano.
